Sorry, I don't check the old mod very often as I am working on the Terran Conflict one now. Unfortunately XTM has had issues with steam installs for some people and not for others, so there is not a definitive answer to that question. Both the mod and the game were not originally designed to work with steam as it wasn't about when the mod began way back when, or when the game was released. We tried to figure out what the problem was by getting people to list their hardware, install locations, etc to see if there was a common denominator, but it seemed to happen randomly and we couldn't trace the cause.
