Gonna push a lot of Poolie LPs, because the DS LP ending has left an unfilled hole in my life that could really use some slimy dreads and angry leprechauns. Fallout New Vegas Full LP 28 Hours One of the best RPGs created in terms of choice and character building. A bit slow at times, but it has good writing, the awesome Fallout aesthetic we all love, and tons of options for solving quests and conflicts through speech and skill checks, rather than violence. It is possible to support nearly every sapient faction in the game, and it's also possible to kill every single thing you see and still complete the game, unlike most Bethesda RPGs. Knights of the Old Republic Full LP 29 Hours Another of the groundbreaking RPGs is Bioware's breakout game. A new telling of Star Wars, in the respect of 'Let's make a chosen one protagonist who's actually a big dick cool guy and not a whiny bitch'.

Mostly great characters, captures the essence of Star Wars in the best possible way, and was very groundbreaking at the time for all the stuff Bioware does well now. Knights of the Old Republic 2 (Restored Content Mod) Full LP 30 Hours The sequel to KOTOR is actually my preferred title. This game takes a more grey approach to the force, focusing on the horrors of war, the consequences of force users in the galaxy, and what it means to be both Jedi and Sith. Some of the best characters in the entire series in this one, but it has the Obsidian problem of being rushed as fuck toward the end, so the mod fixes this somewhat. Better crafting system, better characters, better writing, worse overall planets and pacing.

Final Fantasy Tactics Full LP 38 Hours My favorite game of all time, and one of Pat's as well. A much more Game of Thrones-esque story than most Final Fantasy games, with complex characters, morally relative shitbags, and a pretty good battle system, if a bit easy to break. Avellone actually gave an interview about that where he went and said that he disliked people putting the blame soley on publishers since they were given a (honestly unreasonable) timescale and budget and it was in part his fault for overreaching (though he contradicts this along with other Obsidian interviews where people talk about Lucasarts continually changing the release date and budget almost monthly towards the end of development, so who knows what really went down, personally, I think Avellone tends to be very self-critical.) • • • • •.
